Blog Tour, Guest Posting & Email Newsletters


For my own historical fiction, I focused on content marketing. I created my author site with a strange history blog and I also created a blog for military wives and girlfriends, both of which were very successful. I eventually retired my Navy wives and girlfriends blog, even though some posts were getting up to 44K views.
My author blog continued to do well, especially after I began interviewing authors that wrote in my genre. These collaborations allowed me to share my work with their audiences and vice versa.
I also used push notifications with lead magnets to promote email newsletter sign-ups, and the emails themselves had an average 30-40% CTR.
When I launched A WHITE ROOM, I also coordinated and wrote guest posts for about 35 different influencer blogs, which not only promoted my book to a variety of audiences, but also, enhanced my SEO with a plethora of backlinks.
