About

PHILOSOPHY
I see marketing not as manipulation, but as a meaningful connection, like matchmaking between brands and the people who truly want what they offer. Great marketing helps people discover solutions they were already seeking, sometimes even before they realized it themselves. When the message is honest and well-communicated, convincing or trick anyone is unnecessary.
Done right, marketing creates value on all sides. It drives growth for businesses, supports employees, improves workplace culture, and expands the positive impact a company can make in its community. To me, marketing isn’t about persuasion—it’s about alignment.
SUPERPOWER
Learning is my edge. I relentlessly pursue what I don’t understand, digging deep, asking the right questions, problem-solving, and uncovering insights others miss. This drive helps me quickly master new industries, tools, and trends to build smarter, more effective strategies.
MISSION
My mission as a person is to help people, and I think marketing and communications achieves that mission because growing a brand benefits the people impacted by it, whether they are employees, communities, or people seeking the exact solution that company offers. This mission has also led me to purpose or mission driven work or companies that find ways to give back.
VALUES
I lead with honesty, curiosity, and genuine enthusiasm, championing the brands I support through authentic connection, open communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement and lasting impact. I seek to positive and safe atmosphres for my peers and teams. DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), and CSR, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) are all strong values I bring to my work and life.
LEADERSHIP STYLE
Using methodolgies from leading experts as Keith Ferrazzi (Leading Without Authority), Marshall Rosenberg (Nonviolent Communication), and Kim Scott (Radical Candor), I see my role as a facilitator and motivator. Rather than take center stage, I set the stage, giving teams support, clear expectations, motivation, tools, freedom, and mentorship to thrive and achieve business goals.
PERSONAL GROWTH
I bring strong attention to detail and focus to my work, but these strengths can become liabilities when they drift into perfectionism and hyperfocus, so I continually work to balance them with self-compassion, prioritization, and intentional time management.
MY STORY
Writer & Storyteller
My path into marketing began with a deep love of writing and storytelling. That passion led me to study history in college and pursue journalism early in my career. But I quickly realized I was more drawn to uplifting stories about local heroes and small businesses than hard-hitting news and political conflict. Around the same time, I also started to research and write my first historical novel.
Authorship & Publishing
As I explored traditional publishing, I discovered that first-time authors were often expected to do most of the marketing themselves, with little support or return. If I was going to carry the weight of promotion anyway, I decided to do it on my own terms. I joined the early wave of indie publishing in 2012 and immersed myself in everything marketing.
Content Marketer
I built multiple website to promote my books and my new blog. I developed two content marketing engines, launched my own social campaigns, and grew my audience using email marketing techniques. But I didn’t stop there. The more I learned, the more I wanted to connect the dots. Content led to SEO, which led to funnels, which led to PPC advertising, then analytics, and eventually lifecycle strategy. Marketing is an ecosystem, and I wanted to understand how every piece fit together to form a growth flywheel, powered by its own momentum.
Marketing Leader
Driven to apply what I’d learned to causes I cared about, I volunteered my skills to a homeless shelter, a recycling center, and other nonprofits. I built their websites and ran their digital communications. That hands-on experience helped me land my first formal marketing role. Since then, I’ve worked as a marketing manager, independent consultant, and brand strategist across B2B and B2C industries. I’ve revitalized brands post-recession, run national strategies, and built marketing departments from the ground up. From nonprofits to luxury brands, I learned and developed into senior leadership roles where I use my broad knowledge base and niche specialties to make an difference by building meaningful strategies, inspiring teams, and driving impact across every level of the business.
Today, I bring that same self-driven curiosity, strategic mindset, and storytelling instinct to every brand I touch.
