My journalism days are long behind me, but I like to include a few articles in my portfolio to show my roots, as journalism laid the foundation for my entire career. From 2007-2011, I wrote for more than half-a-dozen newspapers in California and for the Nevada Appeal and Lahontan Valley News in Nevada. As a reporter, I earned first place awards from the National Newspaper Association and the Nevada Press Association in 2010, for some of my articles that went nation-wide.
